Here is the latest news and .possible return dates for Mets players on the IL…

Jacob deGrom, who left his last start early due to shoulder soreness, is starting Game 1 of the Mets‘ doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves on June 21.

The Mets have also activated Jeff McNeil from the IL.

Robert Gsellman (lat)

Gsellman is heading to the 10-day IL due to a lat issue, SNY’s Andy Martino reported on June 21.

Gsellman last pitched on June 19 against the Washington Nationals, when he allowed one run on three hits in 2.0 innings while serving as the opener.

Joey Lucchesi (elbow)

The Mets placed Lucchesi on the 10-day IL on June 19 with left elbow inflammation.

Luis Rojas said that Lucchesi will go for an MRI soon. Lucchesi would not have been able to properly prepare for and make his next start, which led to the IL stint.

Lucchesi pitched 5.1 scoreless innings against the Nationals on June 18, throwing a season-high 90 pitches.

Brandon Nimmo (finger)

Nimmo played his first rehab game on June 20.

“Today he had his first game. he went 1-for-2,” Luis Rojas said. “We’ll see how he goes. I haven’t heard his feedback on how he felt when he made contact. I’m curious to hear because that’s the one thing we want to pay attention in his progression to during the rehab assignment.”

Potential return date: Late June

Michael Conforto (hamstring)

Conforto has gone 1-for-7 in two rehab starts with Triple-A Syracuse, starting on June 16.

The expectation is that Conforto will be able to return to the Mets at some point during the week of June 20.

Potential return date: Late June

J.D. Davis (hand)

Davis recently took dry swings, Luis Rojas said on June 18, with Rojas adding that the next step for Davis would be hitting baseballs.

Per Rojas, while there is no timetable for when Davis might begin a rehab assignment, things could develop quickly.

Carlos Carrasco (hamstring)

Carrasco has restarted his throwing program, Luis Rojas said on June 16.

Carrasco is throwing off flat ground, but has not yet advanced to throwing from the slope of a mound.

Mets acting GM Zack Scott said on June 11 that Carrasco recently had a PRP injection.

Mets president Sandy Alderson said on June 10 during an interview on MLB Network that he’s “hopeful” Carrasco will be able to return at some point between early and late July.

Dellin Betances (shoulder)

Betances was hit hard on June 16 during his second rehab outing for Low-A St. Lucie, allowing five runs on three hits while walking two and striking out none in just 1/3 of an inning.

He began his rehab assignment on June 13, pitching a scoreless inning while striking out two and walking one.

Betances has been out since April 7.

Noah Syndergaard (TJS recovery)

Syndergaard was shut down from throwing for six weeks on May 27 after an MRI revealed inflammation, but no structural damage.

After the six-week shutdown, Syndergaard will need to again build his arm strength up. Zack Scott said on June 11 that he’s still not throwing.

Mets president Sandy Alderson said on June 10 that Sept. 1 is a potential return date for Syndergaard.

Potential return date: Sept. 1

Johneshwy Fargas (shoulder)

An MRI confirmed that Fargas suffered a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder while crashing into the center field fence on May 24. He was placed on the IL on May 26.

Potential return date: TBD

Tommy Hunter (back)

Hunter was placed on the IL on May 21 due to lower back pain.

Zack Scott said on June 11 that Hunter’s back is still bothering him, and the team is trying to pinpoint exactly what’s going on.

Potential return date: TBD

Jordan Yamamoto (shoulder)

The Mets originally placed Yamamoto on the 10-day IL before transferring him to the 60-day lL on May 25 to make room on the 40-man roster for Billy McKinney.
